Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ramsès Younan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November this year. In the Marhala: Highlights from the Dalloul Collection auction, the work Untitled (abstract series) sold for GBP 100,800.00 (€ 116,805.28) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ramsès Younan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Contre le mur, which sold at auction in March 2019 for USD 387,000.00 (€ 344,674.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ramsès Younan erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Marhala: Highlights from the Dalloul Collection wurde die Arbeit Untitled (abstract series) für GBP 100.800,00 (€ 116.805,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ramsès Younan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Contre le mur beobachtet, die im März 2019 für USD 387.000,00 (€ 344.674,03) versteigert wurde.
