Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included the work Egyptianuntitled (Portrait Of The Artist'S Mother) by Ramsès Younan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,979.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ramsès Younan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Contre le mur in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 387,000.00 (€ 344,674.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Egyptianuntitled (Portrait Of The Artist'S Mother) von Ramsès Younan zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.979,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ramsès Younan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Contre le mur im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 387.000,00 (€ 344.674,03).
