Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Egyptianuntitled by Ramsès Younan was sold in the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction at Sothebys in London in October 2018. It changed hands for a price of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 84,576.86) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ramsès Younan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Contre le mur in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 387,000.00 (€ 344,674.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Egyptianuntitled von Ramsès Younan wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 84.576,86) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ramsès Younan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Contre le mur im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 387.000,00 (€ 344.674,03).
