Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections, which included this untitled work by Ramsès Younan. The price achieved of GBP 22,750.00 (€ 26,509.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ramsès Younan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Contre le mur in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 387,000.00 (€ 344,674.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ramsès Younan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 22.750,00 (€ 26.509,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ramsès Younan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Contre le mur im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 387.000,00 (€ 344.674,03).
