Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study For "From The Bridge" by Ralston Crawford was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2009. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,540.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ralston Crawford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flour Mill #2 in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 654,400.00 (€ 552,609.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study For "From The Bridge" von Ralston Crawford kam im März 2009 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.540,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ralston Crawford erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flour Mill #2 im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 654.400,00 (€ 552.609,36).
