Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Havana Harbor #3 by Ralston Crawford was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2014. Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 81,250.00 (€ 59,567.45). Admittedly, works by Ralston Crawford have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flour Mill #2 in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 654,400.00 (€ 552,609.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Havana Harbor #3 von Ralston Crawford kam im Mai 2014 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 81.250,00 (€ 59.567,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ralston Crawford auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flour Mill #2 im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 654.400,00 (€ 552.609,36).
