This artwork by Rajendra Dhawan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2006. In the MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY INDIAN ART auction, the work without title sold for USD 18,000.00 (€ 14,828.24) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Rajendra Dhawan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Repetitive Breathing sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of GBP 18,500.00 (€ 23,532.81).

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Rajendra Dhawan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Repetitive Breathing im Mai 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 18.500,00 (€ 23.532,81).
