This artwork by Rajendra Dhawan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2018. In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,609.58) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rajendra Dhawan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Repetitive Breathing, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 18,500.00 (€ 23,532.81).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Rajendra Dhawan erzielte im März 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.609,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rajendra Dhawan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Repetitive Breathing beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 18.500,00 (€ 23.532,81) versteigert wurde.
