Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2017 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Rajendra Dhawan. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,878.02). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rajendra Dhawan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Repetitive Breathing, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 18,500.00 (€ 23,532.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Rajendra Dhawan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.878,02) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Rajendra Dhawan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Repetitive Breathing beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 18.500,00 (€ 23.532,81) versteigert wurde.
