Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition, 1989 by Rajendra Dhawan was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in March 2012. The price achieved of EUR 1,158.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rajendra Dhawan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Repetitive Breathing in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 18,500.00 (€ 23,532.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Composition, 1989 von Rajendra Dhawan wurde im März 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.158,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rajendra Dhawan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Repetitive Breathing im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.500,00 (€ 23.532,81).
