This artwork by Rajendra Dhawan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May 2007. In the The Indian Sale auction, the work without title sold for GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,658.81) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Rajendra Dhawan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Repetitive Breathing sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of GBP 18,500.00 (€ 23,532.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rajendra Dhawan erzielte im Mai 2007 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Indian Sale wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.658,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Rajendra Dhawan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Repetitive Breathing im Mai 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 18.500,00 (€ 23.532,81).
