Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Rajendra Dhawan was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2006. The price achieved of USD 9,600.00 (€ 7,566.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rajendra Dhawan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Repetitive Breathing, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 18,500.00 (€ 23,532.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Rajendra Dhawan kam im September 2006 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.600,00 (€ 7.566,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Rajendra Dhawan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Repetitive Breathing beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 18.500,00 (€ 23.532,81) versteigert wurde.
