The work Landscape with a Barn by Raimonds Staprans was sold in the Contemporary Art | New York auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2021. The »bidding war« ended at USD 88,200.00 (€ 77,928.96), 47% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raimonds Staprans - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Morning Mist, 1986, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 189,375.00 (€ 193,575.59).

Die Arbeit Landscape with a Barn von Raimonds Staprans wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art | New York bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 88.200,00 (€ 77.928,96) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Raimonds Staprans mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Morning Mist, 1986 beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 189.375,00 (€ 193.575,59) versteigert wurde.
