This artwork by Raimonds Staprans achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in September this year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California Part II Online auction, the work Still Life with Pears, 1980 sold for USD 41,600.00 (€ 39,304.61) - well above the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Raimonds Staprans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Morning Mist, 1986 in September last year with an auction result of USD 189,375.00 (€ 193,575.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Raimonds Staprans erzielte im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California Part II Online wurde die Arbeit Still Life with Pears, 1980 für USD 41.600,00 (€ 39.304,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Raimonds Staprans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Morning Mist, 1986 im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 189.375,00 (€ 193.575,59).
