Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale, which included the work The Party On The Diamond River by Rafiee Ghani. The price achieved of HKD 151,200.00 (€ 16,746.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rafiee Ghani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Beginning Of The Red Sea , which sold at auction in April 2017 for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 38,361.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Party On The Diamond River von Rafiee Ghani zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 151.200,00 (€ 16.746,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Rafiee Ghani mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Beginning Of The Red Sea beobachtet, die im April 2017 für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 38.361,63) versteigert wurde.
