Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chasing The Waves by Rafiee Ghani was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. The price achieved of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,825.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rafiee Ghani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Beginning Of The Red Sea in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 38,361.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Chasing The Waves von Rafiee Ghani wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.825,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rafiee Ghani auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Beginning Of The Red Sea im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 38.361,63).
