This artwork by Rafiee Ghani achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Sea Of Heroes sold for HKD 212,500.00 (€ 22,422.15) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Rafiee Ghani; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Beginning Of The Red Sea sold at auction in April 2017 with the realized price of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 38,361.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rafiee Ghani erzielte im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Sea Of Heroes für HKD 212.500,00 (€ 22.422,15) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Rafiee Ghani; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Beginning Of The Red Sea im April 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 38.361,63).
