Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work The Original Sin by Rafiee Ghani. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,154.03), 16% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Rafiee Ghani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Beginning Of The Red Sea in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 38,361.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Original Sin von Rafiee Ghani zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.154,03) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rafiee Ghani auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Beginning Of The Red Sea im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 38.361,63).
