This artwork by Rafiee Ghani achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Blood Cherries By The Black River sold for HKD 212,500.00 (€ 25,006.84) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Rafiee Ghani; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Beginning Of The Red Sea sold at auction in April 2017 with the realized price of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 38,361.63).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Rafiee Ghani erzielte im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
