Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Arabic horseman and his horse in the desert by Raden Saleh was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2010. The price achieved of EUR 25,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raden Saleh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wounded Lion in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 6,620,000.00 (€ 654,077.94).

Die Arbeit An Arabic horseman and his horse in the desert von Raden Saleh kam im April 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 25.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raden Saleh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wounded Lion im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.620.000,00 (€ 654.077,94).
