The work Lion attacking a horse by Raden Saleh was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2011. It achieved a price of EUR 46,600.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 66 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raden Saleh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wounded Lion in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 6,620,000.00 (€ 654,077.94).

Die Arbeit Lion attacking a horse von Raden Saleh kam im März 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 46.600,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 66 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raden Saleh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wounded Lion im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.620.000,00 (€ 654.077,94).
