Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Morning Session), which included the work View Of Dieng Plateau by Raden Saleh. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 1,800,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 228,899.45). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raden Saleh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wounded Lion, which sold at auction in November 2010 for HKD 6,620,000.00 (€ 654,077.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Morning Session) durch, in der auch die Arbeit View Of Dieng Plateau von Raden Saleh zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 1.800.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 2.000.000,00 (€ 228.899,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Raden Saleh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wounded Lion beobachtet, die im November 2010 für HKD 6.620.000,00 (€ 654.077,94) versteigert wurde.
