The work Light Writing: 24 Seasons (Set Of 24) by Qiu Zhijie was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. The result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 15,827.40) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qiu Zhijie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 30 Letters To Qiu Jiawa L22 - Beyond sky there is sky, within the sea there is sea L23 - An exit from a tunnel is not always only where the light is L24 - In their contests, you do not have to become a winner in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 182,785.03).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 15.827,40) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qiu Zhijie erzielen.
