Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dictionary Series: Rice; & Dictionary Series: Female by Qiu Zhijie was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in September 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 118,000.00 (€ 12,985.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qiu Zhijie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 30 Letters To Qiu Jiawa L22 - Beyond sky there is sky, within the sea there is sea L23 - An exit from a tunnel is not always only where the light is L24 - In their contests, you do not have to become a winner in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 182,785.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dictionary Series: Rice; & Dictionary Series: Female von Qiu Zhijie wurde im September 2018 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 118.000,00 (€ 12.985,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qiu Zhijie erzielen.
