Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Looking into the Mirror by Qiu Jiongjiong was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2012. It changed hands for a price of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 9,115.17) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qiu Jiongjiong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Apprentice, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 236,000.00 (€ 27,274.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Looking into the Mirror von Qiu Jiongjiong wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 9.115,17) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 90.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Qiu Jiongjiong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Apprentice beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 236.000,00 (€ 27.274,68) versteigert wurde.
