This artwork by Qian Du achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2012. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Reciting Verses in the Forest sold for HKD 200,000.00 (€ 19,830.90) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Qian Du have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rocky Cliffs in October 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,460,000.00 (€ 134,830.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qian Du erzielte im November 2012 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Reciting Verses in the Forest für HKD 200.000,00 (€ 19.830,90) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qian Du auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rocky Cliffs im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.460.000,00 (€ 134.830,43).
