The work Celestial Landscape by Qian Du was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2015. It achieved a price of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 31,804.73), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Admittedly, works by Qian Du have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rocky Cliffs in October 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,460,000.00 (€ 134,830.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Celestial Landscape von Qian Du wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 31.804,73) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qian Du auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rocky Cliffs im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.460.000,00 (€ 134.830,43).
