Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Abdullahi Mohammed with Mainasara, Lagos, Nigeria from The Hyena & Other Men by Pieter Hugo was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 32,760.00 (€ 32,977.65). Other works by Pieter Hugo have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 64,053.66) in May 2018 for the work Mummy Ahmadu and Mallam Mantari Lamal with Mainasara, Abuja, Nigeria, 2005.

Die Arbeit Abdullahi Mohammed with Mainasara, Lagos, Nigeria from The Hyena & Other Men von Pieter Hugo kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 32.760,00 (€ 32.977,65) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Pieter Hugo haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 64.053,66) im Mai 2018 für die Arbeit Mummy Ahmadu and Mallam Mantari Lamal with Mainasara, Abuja, Nigeria, 2005 beobachtet.
