Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Médrano Paris: in the circus by Piet van der Hem was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Piet van der Hem achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Café in Paris in December 2008 with an auction result of EUR 39,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Médrano Paris: in the circus von Piet van der Hem kam im November 2009 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Piet van der Hem erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Café in Paris im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 39.400,00.
