Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2011 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries, which included the work Pulling the strings by Piet van der Hem. It changed hands for a price of EUR 8,750.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Piet van der Hem have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Café in Paris in December 2008 with an auction result of EUR 39,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2011 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pulling the strings von Piet van der Hem zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 8.750,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Piet van der Hem auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Café in Paris im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 39.400,00.
