Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work Figure Studies: A Man In A Hat, Reclining; Two Studies Of Women, One Pointing And One Seen From Behind by Pierre-Jacques Volaire. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,456.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre-Jacques Volaire achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vesuvius erupting at night seen from the foothills, with elegant onlookers, a view of the Bay of Naples beyond in July 2005 with an auction result of GBP 142,400.00 (€ 206,549.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figure Studies: A Man In A Hat, Reclining; Two Studies Of Women, One Pointing And One Seen From Behind von Pierre-Jacques Volaire zur Versteigerung kam. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vesuvius erupting at night seen from the foothills, with elegant onlookers, a view of the Bay of Naples beyond im Juli 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 142.400,00 (€ 206.549,86).
