In the IMPORTANT PORTRAIT MINIATURES, GOLD BOXES & OBJECTS OF VERTU auction, the work A young lady, full face in fur-bordered blue silk dress with double lace collar, thin hairband in her dark hair dressed in ringlets sold for GBP 2,937.50 (€ 4,801.23) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pierre-Édouard Dagoty; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Two young ladies: one lady, full face in white dress, frilled lace cuffs and blue sash, a crucifix suspended from a black ribbon around her neck, drop gold earrings, her dark hair upswept in a filet; the other lady, facing right in white dress with b sold at auction in May 2000 with the realized price of GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,279.24
