Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Rue De L'Epicerie, Rouen by Pierre Dumont for USD 6,875.00 (€ 4,835.08). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist and Modern Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Pierre Dumont have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Normandie, Paysage De Bords De Mer in May 2011 with an auction result of EUR 27,801.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Rue De L'Epicerie, Rouen von Pierre Dumont für USD 6.875,00 (€ 4.835,08) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Dumont auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Normandie, Paysage De Bords De Mer im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.801,00.
