Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2007 Christies in London held the auction Nineteenth Century European Art, which included the work Rotterdam; and Antwerp by Pierre Dumont. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 3,405.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pierre Dumont have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Normandie, Paysage De Bords De Mer in May 2011 with an auction result of EUR 27,801.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Nineteenth Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rotterdam; and Antwerp von Pierre Dumont zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 3.405,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Dumont auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Normandie, Paysage De Bords De Mer im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.801,00.
