The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,520.00 (€ 2,282.61), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Piero Manzoni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Achrome in October 2014 with an auction result of GBP 12,626,500.00 (€ 16,122,216.56).

Die Arbeit Achrome, from La Lune en Rodage I von Piero Manzoni wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples: Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.520,00 (€ 2.282,61) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Piero Manzoni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Achrome im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.626.500,00 (€ 16.122.216,56).
