Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Girouettes (Marabella - Shanghai) by Philippe Hiquily was sold in the 20th Century to Now auction at Phillips in London in June this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 15,240.00 (€ 17,736.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philippe Hiquily achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Sevillane (Femme Lune) - 2006 in July 2021 with an auction result of EUR 273,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Girouettes (Marabella - Shanghai) von Philippe Hiquily wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century to Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 15.240,00 (€ 17.736,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philippe Hiquily erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Sevillane (Femme Lune) - 2006 im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 273.000,00.
