Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Grace Kelly by Philippe Halsman was sold in the Photographs auction at Bonhams in New York in April last year. The price achieved of USD 1,657.50 (€ 1,573.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philippe Halsman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Marilyn Monroe Jumping' in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 75,941.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Grace Kelly von Philippe Halsman wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.657,50 (€ 1.573,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philippe Halsman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Marilyn Monroe Jumping' im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 75.941,68).
