Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Philippe Halsman could be acquired at Bonhams in London in November last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Astute EyeContemporary Art from a Private London Collector Online auction, the work Dali Atomicus changed hands for GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,920.66) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philippe Halsman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Marilyn Monroe Jumping' in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 75,941.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Philippe Halsman konnte im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Astute EyeContemporary Art from a Private London Collector Online wechselte die Arbeit Dali Atomicus für GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.920,66) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philippe Halsman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Marilyn Monroe Jumping' im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 75.941,68).
