Auction result misses estimated price range
In November last year a collector was able to acquire the work Dali Skull (In Voluptas Mors; and Dali Atomicus) by Philippe Halsman for GBP 765.00 (€ 886.46). This price was achieved in the auction The Astute EyeContemporary Art from a Private London Collector Online at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philippe Halsman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Marilyn Monroe Jumping' in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 75,941.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Dali Skull (In Voluptas Mors; and Dali Atomicus) von Philippe Halsman für GBP 765,00 (€ 886,46) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Astute EyeContemporary Art from a Private London Collector Online bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philippe Halsman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Marilyn Monroe Jumping' im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 75.941,68).
