Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The seesaw by Philip Wilson Steer was sold in the British and European Art auction at Bonhams in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,558.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philip Wilson Steer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tired Out in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 674,500.00 (€ 828,982.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The seesaw von Philip Wilson Steer wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion British and European Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.187,50 (€ 3.558,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philip Wilson Steer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tired Out im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 674.500,00 (€ 828.982,26).
