Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nude on Striped Hammock by Philip Pearlstein was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in January last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,147.00 (€ 1,023.01) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philip Pearlstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Model With Empire State Building in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 170,500.00 (€ 130,791.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nude on Striped Hammock von Philip Pearlstein wurde im Januar letzten Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.147,00 (€ 1.023,01) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philip Pearlstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Model With Empire State Building im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 170.500,00 (€ 130.791,65).
