This artwork by Philip Jackson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in April last year. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work After the Ball 72.5cm (28 9/16) high sold for GBP 12,112.50 (€ 14,443.73) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philip Jackson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Don, which sold at auction in April 2014 for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 45,646.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Philip Jackson erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit After the Ball 72.5cm (28 9/16) high für GBP 12.112,50 (€ 14.443,73) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Philip Jackson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Don beobachtet, die im April 2014 für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 45.646,18) versteigert wurde.
