This artwork by Philip Jackson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in July 2021. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Wedding of the Sea sold for GBP 4,590.00 (€ 5,382.73) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Philip Jackson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Don in April 2014 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 45,646.18).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Philip Jackson erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Wedding of the Sea für GBP 4.590,00 (€ 5.382,73) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Philip Jackson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Don im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 45.646,18).
