Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Doge’s Gondolier by Philip Jackson was sold in the Modern | British Art auction at Christies in London in November 2019. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,540.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Philip Jackson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Don in April 2014 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 45,646.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Doge’s Gondolier von Philip Jackson wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Modern | British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.540,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Philip Jackson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Don im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 45.646,18).
