Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Through A Glass Darkly 54cm (21 1/4in) high by Philip Jackson was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,550.00 (€ 3,040.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philip Jackson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Don in April 2014 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 45,646.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Through A Glass Darkly 54cm (21 1/4in) high von Philip Jackson wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 3.040,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philip Jackson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Don im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 45.646,18).
