Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Bonhams in London held the auction 19th Century and British Impressionist Art, which included the work The Noordermarkt by Night, Amsterdam by Petrus van Schendel. The price achieved of GBP 81,500.00 (€ 96,627.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Petrus van Schendel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch the Market Place, Rotterdam in May 2015 with an auction result of GBP 449,000.00 (€ 624,287.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Noordermarkt by Night, Amsterdam von Petrus van Schendel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 81.500,00 (€ 96.627,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Petrus van Schendel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dutch the Market Place, Rotterdam im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 449.000,00 (€ 624.287,25).
