Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A River Landscape In Silver Moonlight by Petrus van Schendel was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,080.00 (€ 8,654.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Petrus van Schendel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch the Market Place, Rotterdam in May 2015 with an auction result of GBP 449,000.00 (€ 624,287.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A River Landscape In Silver Moonlight von Petrus van Schendel kam im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.080,00 (€ 8.654,59) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Petrus van Schendel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch the Market Place, Rotterdam im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 449.000,00 (€ 624.287,25).
