Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Spring by Peter Sedgley was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2019. The result of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,059.75) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,500.00 – 5,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Sedgley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Counterpoint in January 2020 with an auction result of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 74,343.05).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Spring von Peter Sedgley kam im Oktober 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.059,75) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.500,00 – 5.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Sedgley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Counterpoint im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 74.343,05).
