Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Chinese Cubist by Peter Saul was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session auction at Phillips in New York in May this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 120,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 120,650.00 (€ 113,243.85). Admittedly, works by Peter Saul have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Human Dignity in May this year with an auction result of USD 819,000.00 (€ 768,725.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Chinese Cubist von Peter Saul wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 120.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 120.650,00 (€ 113.243,85) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Saul auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Human Dignity im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 819.000,00 (€ 768.725,36).
