This artwork by Percy Drake Brookshaw achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2012. In the Vintage Posters auction, the work Lawn Tennis Championship Meeting sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,387.72) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Percy Drake Brookshaw; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Saturday March 31St, Putney Bridge, Hammersmith sold at auction in October 2012 with the realized price of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,729.97).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Percy Drake Brookshaw erzielte im November 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Vintage Posters wurde die Arbeit Lawn Tennis Championship Meeting für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.387,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Percy Drake Brookshaw; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Saturday March 31St, Putney Bridge, Hammersmith im Oktober 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.729,97).
